"Crippled Inside" is quite the biting song, but you'd never guess it just by listening to it: It's mellow, fun, it's got a beat, and you can dance to it. But the lyrics attack the hypocrisy inherent in religion, politics, and other assorted sacred cows with gleeful abandon. The song has hints of country rock around the corners, not to mention some blissfully laidback keyboards, as well as George Harrison on dobro.
